Paintings
None of my work is computer generated and I do not use a computer or a calculator for the design. All of my work is painted by hand using simple tools such as a ruler, compass, and templates. I mix my own formula of acrylic paint to create a perfectly glossy mosaic-like surface.

These are details of my most recent work in progress. At right is the pencil drawing, at left the painted figure. The finished painting will be 48"x48" and contain 16 of these figures amidst the abstract matrix. |
This is my most recent piece, as yet unnamed. 48 " x 48 " acrylic on wood |

What is special about my paintings:
It is important to note that none of my artwork is computer generated. The basic drawings are all done by hand using simple tools such as a ruler, compass, and circle templates. It can take from six weeks to several months to understand and decipher the concepts behind the drawing, a process which would ordinarily be performed by a computer. I do not use a calculator in order to create these paintings, I use my mind to do the math. The value of this process is that, as the painting is completed, I embody these patterns and concepts and carry them within myself.
Painting Techniques:
These paintings have an incredibly glossy and textured surface which may not be evident from photographs. The surface appears tile-like, and this is due to the technique of painting each segment individually without overlapping (as opposed to painting large areas solid colors, and then painting details over that.) The result is a border around each segment that appears to be incised. Raised silver dots add to the dimensionality of the painting's surface.
In order to achieve intense and vibrant colors, I custom mix my own paints. I add pure translucent pigments to my own special blend of three painting media which must be carefully balanced in order to achieve the perfect, glossy finish when the paint is applied. It is often necessary throughout the process of painting to adjust the consistency or color concentration of the paint, especially in order to achieve the progression of subtle shades. There is a great deal of mental energy devoted to color design within each piece, in order to make sure not only that aspects of the pattern are visible but also making sure that each segment stands out from its neighbors and that the overall color balance of the piece is pleasing and accurate to the color recipe of which white light is comprised. This is more sophisticated than directing a computer to assign certain color values to certain functions of an equation as it creates a fractal pattern.
The concepts:
These paintings are more than just decorative colors and patterns. There is a mathematical subject matter, as each painting is based upon an internally-consistent set of rules and stands as a type of “visual equation” or “visual math problem” . The paintings also refer to physics, and the rules which describe and govern the behavior of light waves. Along with all that, there is the metaphysical information representing the non-physical energy field (chakras) which surrounds the physical human form. At the heart of all of this artwork is the visual representation of abstract geometric energy beings who, at times in human history, have been interpreted and described as angels.

Artist Statement I consider art-making an aspect of my partnership with Spirit and I approach it as an act of faith. I am a walk-in, and I could not imagine making artwork or living without being connected to my Spirit Friends, the extradimensional entities from whom I receive downloads and other inspiration for my work. I focus on depicting the energetic building blocks of the universe, the grid upon which the molecules of the physical world are arranged. The recurring patterns and use of the colors of the rainbow are intentional and significant as they are the grammar of the universal language which is expressed in every aspect of nature. None of my work is computer generated, and this is important because my challenge as an artist and human being is to embody these sacred geometries and then express those forms through the movement of my physical body. |

The Bridge Between Squares and Hexagons 24 in x 24 in acrylic on wood $5,500 This piece is a tessellation, or tiling, where the shapes all fit together like a puzzle with no spaces in between. What makes this painting special is the combination of both squares and hexagons in the same grid. Usually, squares can't be reconciled with hexagons, which are based on a triangular grid. Hexagons represent the manifestation of energy into the physical world. Water crystals are hexagonal, and so much of life is based upon water crystals. This is one reason the "Flower of Life" is hexagonal. Squares (and octogons) represent the pure, abstract energy of the spirit world from which all physical reality is projected. Finding a way to bring together squares and hexagons is one of the graphic solutions to the puzzle of how to combine spirit and matter, or the inner and outer worlds. Around the border of the painting there are cube shapes which seem to leap forward into three dimensions. These cubes are exactly the same size and dimensions as the hexagons directly above them, but due to different shading and colors, our eye and brain perceives the cubes as having an extra dimension. In a larger sense, what we create as "reality" around ourselves is based largely on our filter of perception, and we can see the bridge between inner and outer reality as we refine our understanding to includ another dimension. |

PORTAL $20,000 60 in x 60 in This piece is made up of over 4,000 individually hand-painted glass tiles. It took over three years to create and assemble this piece. PORTAL is literally a passageway into another world, the world of pure light and abstract information that I experience with my inner vision. The color combinations and patterns create scintillating optical illusions which make the tiled surface of the piece appear to vibrate and blink like pixels in a t.v. to another dimension. Below is a detail of the hand-painted tile surface of this piece. |

The Shape (detail) The layers of this piece represent the nested layers of our nonphysical body. Starting with red at the root chakra and moving up the spectrum towards violet, the sections follow a pattern of proportion that goes: 1, 1/2, 1/3, 1/4, 1/5, 1/6, 1/7. Within each section, there are seven layers, each also organized according to the colors of the rainbow and the sizes of the wavelengths of each color. |
